Grace Academy Solihull Sixth Form continues to shine

Pupils at Grace Academy Solihull Sixth Form continue to achieve outstanding results.

Pupils achieved well in a range of Academic and Vocational courses including Level 3 qualifications in Sport, Health & Social Care, Applied Science, Psychology and Art. The number of students achieving higher grades continues to impress with an increase in the number of Distinction* and Distinction grades in Applied General and Vocational subjects as well as an increase in A*- B grades at A Level.  

Louise Knight, Head of Post‑16 Studies, said: “Students have shown their commitment to their studies despite the challenges and disruptions that have shaped their educational journey in recent years. They have achieved the results they truly deserve and I am incredibly proud of every one of them. These outcomes demonstrate that with the right support and guidance from excellent teaching staff and with students choosing courses that suit their strengths and aspirations, they can flourish and achieve exceptional results.” 

Scarlett Gathercole said “I am so proud to have achieved my A* in Art A Level and a D** in my Sport & Physical activity course. I feel ecstatic to have been accepted into my first-choice university and am so excited to start my career journey. I couldn’t have done it without the teachers’ support and guidance throughout my time in Post 16”.

Safina Lawrence said “Overall, my experience at Grace Academy Sixth Form has been great. Not only has it prepared me for life after sixth form, but it has also given me skills and experiences that I can use for life. Due to the amazing and supportive teaching here at Grace, I ended up with results that I am extremely proud of and can now go onto to my first choice university”. 

Ruby Sears also said “I am so proud of what I have achieved during my time at Sixth Form. I am delighted with my two Distinctions* and B grades which have granted me a place at University of Birmingham on a Sport degree. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support and encouragement from my teachers and the Post 16 Team to achieve my best”.  

Louise Knight added that “all students intending to move on to higher education gained a place at their first choice University on their chosen course. We wish all students all the best in their future journeys, whether that is University, an apprenticeship or at the start of their careers. The academy also recognises the support and commitment that parents and carers have given to their children, enabling them to achieve as well as they have.”
