Year 11 Class of 2026 Celebrate Five Years of Excellence at Graduation Gala

Year 11 Class of 2026 Celebrate Five Years of Excellence at Graduation Gala

The academy community recently came together for a spectacular Graduation Gala, marking a significant milestone for our Year 11 students as they conclude their secondary school journey. The event was designed as a grand celebration of the five years of dedicated hard work each pupil has invested in both their academic learning and their personal growth.
The festivities kicked off with a heartfelt Year 11 Leavers Assembly, providing a poignant moment for reflection as students and staff looked back on their shared experiences. The assembly included speeches from the the Head of Year, Ms Adams, a student selected by their peers and one from the Principal, Mr Godwin.
Recognition was a central theme of the event, highlighted by the presentation of individual and personalised awards that celebrated the unique contributions and achievements of the cohort.
The rest of the event allowed the students to take advantage of a variety of activities designed to create lasting memories:
  • Tradition and Connection: Students took part in the time-honoured tradition of leavers’ shirt signing, ensuring they carry the well-wishes of their peers with them. These shirts sported personalised designs which included images and quotes chosen by the students themselves that reflect their characters. They were incredibly creative and sparked a lot of conversations between staff and students.
  • High-Energy Fun: The grounds were transformed with inflatables and music, providing a joyful backdrop for students to relax and celebrate with their friends.
  • Festive Dining: All guests enjoyed a selection of treats, again to mark the occasion for the celebration that it was, including an array of delicious desserts.
As the event drew to a close, every student received an individual and personalised gift bag. These keepsakes featured a memorable whole year group photograph, serving as a permanent reminder of the bonds formed during their half-decade at the school, as well as a small figurine and accompanying quote, chosen specifically for each student.
This gala also offered a vital opportunity for all staff to spend quality time with this outgoing Year 11 cohort, celebrating the resilience and character they have shown throughout their journey. We wish all our leavers the very best as they move on to their next exciting chapters!
