Year 11 “Building Healthy Relationships” Day
Year 11 “Building Healthy Relationships” Day
Earlier this term 150 Year 11 students participated in a “Building Healthy Relationships” Day, the for purpose for which is to help students’ make healthy choices about sex & relationships through engaging lessons, workshops and drama with specialist external guests.
Loudmouth started the day with “Safe & Sound” – a powerful theatre in education programme that helps young people to think about the quality of the relationships they develop & raises their awareness of the misuse of power and control so they can safeguard themselves against abusive relationships. “Explore” allowed married couples to help students discover the realities of long-term commitment. The Ethos Team also delivered workshops on “Consent” while linking this concept to the law & respect while “Naked Truth” highlighted the risks and impact of pornography.

- ”Consent is very important – it is normal to say no”
- “I learnt what consent is and how to ask for it”
