Grace Academy Recycling Project

Grace Academy Recycling Project

Our Academy Ambassadors are valued student leaders who are making a huge impact on student life. These students identify opportunities in school to improve their experience, plan a project, present to Mr Gelder and then they implement the project . Below Scarlet describes a project our Environment Ambassadors launched this half term, and the impact they hope to have.

I am really proud that our school has started a recycling project. As Environmental Academy Ambassadors recycling means a lot to us, we know that the health of our planet is vital for our futures, and everything that can be done to reduce pollution and further damage should be done.

So when Mr Gelder responded to our letter asking to add a recycling project into our student leadership agenda, we became reassured that as a school we can begin to play our part.

Not only have we added recycling bins to the main canteen areas but we have created posters communicating the importance of recycling and completed an assembly for all year groups. We are also looking forward to planting 195 trees on the school grounds over the next month.

We are proud to be doing our bit.
