Post 16 Dress Code

Grace academy Post 16 Dress Code

Students are to wear smart/casual clothing Monday – Thursday and smart business dress on Fridays.  On occasions students may be asked to wear their business dress for trips/visits, or when we have external business partners coming in to deliver workshops. If this is required, students will be informed of this beforehand.

Monday-Thursday Dress Code – Casual Clothing

As Post 16 students are moving towards adulthood, we allow them to come into the academy in casual clothing that is comfortable and practical, but also meets requirements for a professional working environment, therefore clothing must be appropriate for a workplace i.e. nothing too short, transparent or revealing. Any clothing that has words, terms, phrases, or pictures that may be offensive are also not acceptable. If students prefer, they can wear business dress five days a week.

Additionally, no caps or hats should be worn, and to adhere to health and safety guidelines, no sandals should be worn without backs and crocs or flip flops should not be worn. Clothing with spaghetti straps, cropped tops, large rips or frayed sections of material, are also not acceptable.
