Inclusive Student Leadership

Grace Academy Solihull is proud to announce the launch of their new academy student leadership group called the “Inclusion Ambassadors”. The role of an Inclusion Ambassador is to ensure those children who might not feel they have a voice, will have the confidence to speak to their peers and others who perhaps know and understand their needs and struggles. The group will also be working closely with the Student Leadership to support improvements for all students across the Academy.

The first ever Inclusion Ambassador meeting took place on 23 May, where students learnt about how formal meetings run, including setting an agenda and the importance of minute/note taking. In the meeting, the students discussed a range of areas they would like to explore, for example: an alternative ‘rewards trip’ for those who feel they cannot or would not like to go to a theme park, the development of the DVC area and how the Ambassadors can represent and present the Academy in its best light. The Ambassadors are excited to promote the idea of ‘Inclusion’ around the academy and what this means.
