Mason Hindley, Year 10, is celebrating being Aston Villa’s top goal scorer last season for their Villa Rockets team. The football pro has been playing for Villa Rockets since he was talent spotted at a trial at Grace Academy when he was in Year 8. Since then he joined the Aston Villa training sessions and scored two goals in his first match for the Rockets.
During his first season, he was recognised as the most improved player, and went on to become top goal scorer last year after scoring a grand total of 25 goals, winning the top goal scorer trophy and seeing his team win the league. Mason, who plays in an electric wheelchair for the Villa Rockets team, said: “I am hoping to progress to the higher league, then the first team, and I am then hoping to get into the England team soon.”
