Grace Academy’s Year 7 Students Spark Curiosity at the Big Bang Fair

This June, our Year 7 students had the incredible opportunity to dive headfirst into the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, and maths at one the UK’s biggest youth STEM conventions — The Big Bang Fair, held at the NEC in Birmingham.
From the moment they arrived, our students were immersed in a whirlwind of hands-on discovery. Whether they were holding a snake, experimenting with a plasma ball, or crafting with a 3D pen, there was no shortage of awe-inspiring experiences to spark their curiosity. The event wasn’t just about fun — it was packed with valuable learning too. Students engaged in conversations with real-life STEM professionals, exploring the endless possibilities of future careers in science and engineering.

The Big Bang Fair is the UK’s largest celebration of STEM for young people aged 10–13, and our students made the most of every moment. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and exemplary behaviour were a credit to Grace Academy — and a sign that we may just have a few future scientists, engineers, and inventors in our midst!
A huge well done to all involved for representing our school with pride and passion. Here’s to a future powered by science and shaped by bright young minds.
