PSV Eindhoven Football Tour 2025

During the Easter holidays 40 students from Years 8, 9 and 10 visited the PSV Football Club in Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Whilst there, our students engaged in a variety of enriching activities focused around football as well as experiencing the culture of the Netherlands.
One of the main areas of the trip that our students were very much looking forward to was to train at the PSV training ground, with these sessions being led by PSV coaches.

Our students went on to apply these new skills against a local football team, RKSV Boxtel Football Club, where they played in three fixtures. All students represented themselves and the academy extremely well with all three academy teams holding their own in each of their matches.
The highlight of the trip was when students got the opportunity to watch a PSV game live on the Saturday in their league fixture against Almere City. The match was an amazing experience as the atmosphere was electric with the sellout crowd of over 35,000 fans, which was added to by PSV comfortably winning the game 5-0.

As well as training and playing against local teams, our students were given a chance to go behind the scenes at the PSV Philips Stadium to explore the different areas of the club’s rich history and to see their various trophies, as well as learning a bit more about some of their past legendary players.

Away from football, our students also visited the biggest theme park in the Netherlands – Efteling Theme Park, as well as having a night of bowling and some free time to explore the local town.
Every single student was a credit to the academy throughout the tour and it was fantastic to see their confidence grow throughout their time on the trip, both in relation to their football skills, as well as young people experiencing a new culture for the first time. Every single student worked extremely hard during each of the sessions, and was determined to improve their football skills both individually but also as a team.
