Yr 10 Geography Trips
On the 11th and 17th July Year 10 Geography students attended two Geography trips as part of their GCSE Fieldwork.
The first trip saw students looking smart in their uniform in and around central Birmingham, assessing the impact of regeneration on the environment. We did this by visiting 4 different locations around the city taking Environmental Quality Surveys, pedestrian counts, analysing photos and interviewing members of the public.
The second trip, which was to Carding Mill Valley, was to test the Bradshaw Model and measure how the river changes downstream. Every single student took part and helped their group to measure the width, depth, velocity and sediment size in the river.
Well Done to all Year 10 students for their hard work – you were a credit to the academy.
