Solihull Borough Athletics Championships 2023

On Thursday 6 July, 35 students across Years 8, 9 and 10 competed in the Solihull Borough Athletics Championships at the Norman Green Athletics Track in Solihull town centre. It was a fantastic day of athletics in which our students were able to compete against all 15 of the other secondary schools across Solihull. All students demonstrated great effort and determination to perform at their very best during their individual and team events. 

The Grace Academy Solihull standout performers were Jamie Sansoni who won Gold in the Under 14 Boys discus, throwing a massive 22.69m. Jamie also won Silver in the Under 14 Boys 100m with a fantastic time of 11.9 seconds. Jaydon Richards won Silver in the Under 14 Boys 200m with an excellent time of 26.5 seconds. 

Well done to all students that took part in the day and we look forward to winning more medals in next year’s event.
