Year 11 Leaving Celebration BBQ

Year 11 students ended their time at Grace Academy Solihull with a celebration assembly and BBQ on 23 June. This was especially welcome after a challenging year, and it was lovely to see students and staff recognising the hard work and effort that has been put in and to celebrate the end of 5 years at the academy.

Lots of awards were given out by the Head of Year and Assistant Head of Year, Mrs Knight and Mrs Reeves, some of which were for great effort and behaviour, while others had a more comical theme! Cezar Baciu, Head Student for the Class of 2021, also gave a heartfelt leaving speech to his peers.

The weather was fantastic for the day which meant everyone could be outside and enjoy the various party activities, including the ice cream van which was popular after the amazing BBQ food, and there was even some friendly competition between students on the Rodeo Bull and Bungee run! All the students thoroughly enjoyed the event and it was good to see them enjoying themselves.

We wish the Class of 2021 all the best in their next steps, whether it is in our Post 16 area of the academy, College or in a further training vocation and we wish to remind them to always strive for their best.
