Year 10 BHR Day

Year 10s explored building healthy relationships through our RSE program. Brilliant guests included Loudmouth, Respect ME, Straight Talking Peer Education, Amplifyouth and our Ethos Team for providing excellent input throughout the day! Birmingham Airport Assembley

As part of National Careers Week we have invited Birmingham Airport today to deliver an assembly on careers within Birmingham Airport and the importance of the airport for jobs in the local community, raising LMI awareness. We would like to thank Andy Holding form Birmingham Airport.

Literal Geniuses

A number of students in 7, 8, 9 and 12, have had some of their poems collated into a through the Young Writers Award collection ‘Through Their Eyes.’ Well done!  

Shakespeare Schools Festival

Last term Grace Academy saw over 80 students be a part of 4 performances of a Shakespeare comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor. Some Y11’s went to Nottingham to see “An Inspector Calls” – a stage adaptation of the well known play by J Priestley. The students should be able to make use of the experience for their Summer Exam in English Literature.

Cultural Capital Day

Students enjoyed a “Day of Cultural Capital” on 23rd January Y7 enjoyed a modern Shakespeare designing sets, drama and music. Y8 enjoyed a problem solving team building workshop and Y9 studied Sherlock Holmes

Christmas Songs With The Elderly

We went to local care homes and sung Christmas songs with the elderly. Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and said without this opportunity they would never have thought to do something like this.
