Student Katerina Bellou receives Solihull Junior Volunteer of the Year award

Year 11 Grace Academy student Katerina Bellou has become an outstanding winner of the Solihull Junior Volunteer Award after taking part in a leadership academy run by Unity Trust over half term.

Unity Trust, a company consisting of schools and academies within North Solihull, organised a leadership training course at Grace Academy to enable students to gain a Level 1 leadership certificate.

After taking the course, Katerina decided to put in extra time and help with other events, including helping other teachers, and her efforts were recognised and rewarded when she was presented with her Junior Volunteer Award in the Solihull Sport Partnership Awards in July 2016.
