Students Access Careers Advice On-Line With U-Explore

Students now have impartial career guidance at their finger tips with a new on-line careers platform called U-Explore.

U-Explore gives Year 7 to Post 16 students 24/7 access to information about a wealth of careers, industry sectors, further education options, apprenticeships, CVs, interview skills, and top tips on how to make a good impression in the work place.

Students can log on to U-Explore at the Academy, or remotely wherever they have internet connection to job profiles, 360-degree Virtual tours of real work environments, and advice on how to apply for a college or university course, work experience, or even a job.

William Costello, Careers Co-ordinator, Grace Academy, said, “Students can only aspire to what they know exists.  We believe that Career Guidance is more than just a 30-minute interview with an advisor to decide their future. It is a journey. U-Explore is there for the journey throughout a student’s entire school career.”

Student Emily Jayne Brian, who has used U-Explore, said, “U-Explore was really easy to use. It showed me many more options other than the original career I wanted to do…I would highly recommend it to other students.”
