Exchange Student Shares Her Experiences

We asked Year 12 Léonie Lagger from Switzerland, how she came to be at the Academy as an Exchange student.  She said, “I wanted to learn English so I came on an Exchange Programme called AFS and I have been put up with a host family.  At first it was overwhelming and different from home, but now it is fine and I’ve made friends. Being in England has improved my understanding of English and now I can understand almost everything everyone says and can express myself more freely. The best bit is meeting people from all around the world.”
