When selecting subjects, students can only choose one subject from each of the 5 blocks (A-E). They can choose three subjects in total. Please see below the option pathway.

The Application Process for the 2026 Year is summarised below:

| November 2025 | Y11 Tutor sessions in Post 16

Students find out about our Post 16, the subjects offered and opportunities for extracurricular involvement to start the process of applying to our Post 16. |

5.00-7.00pm |
Post 16 Open Evening | Talk in the Post 16 area and visit subject teachers. |
| December 2025 | Applications open | Students start application process |
| 31 January 2026 | Initial Applications deadline | Deadline for application submission. |
| February to May 2026 | Post 16 discussions regarding offers | Students receive conditional offer letters. |
| May/June 2026 | GCSE Exams | Students complete all exams. |
| June 2026 | Y11 Transition Day | Students attend Post 16 for a Transition Day, try 4 subjects and make any additional changes if applicable. Meet the Y12 tutor. |
| 20 August 2026 – GCSE Results Day | Y11 students collect GCSE results | Students collect results, register at the Post 16 desk, confirm subjects, collect transition/summer work packs (to be handed in the first week back) and starting information. |
| September 2026 | New Y12 cohort start | Y12 Students have their first day in Post 16 on their own. |
| Mid-September 2026 | Early assessment | All subjects will carry out an early assessment which will be based on transition tasks and first few weeks of subject content. Make any changes. |
