Vision and Values
Our Vision
Our Grace Vision is to develop well-educated, considerate and caring citizens with a strong sense of values, who will succeed in and contribute to modern society. At the heart of all we do is the passion to provide an outstanding education for our students which develops the whole person through our Inclusive ethos.
It is our Inclusive ethos that makes Grace Academy Solihull unique, shaping who we are as an organisation, and providing a clear road map for success through our five shared values of grace, respect, integrity, potential and excellence.
Our aim is for our shared values to be outworked through our Academy culture, embedded across an enhanced curriculum, role modelled by our staff, and explored and demonstrated by all of our students. Our vision makes Grace Academy Solihull a better place to learn, work and achieve.

British Values at Grace Academy Solihull
The Grace Academy community is one where we value and respect the traditions and cultures of our many diverse members. We believe that it is a fundamental principle of good educational practice that our young people explore and understand those values that are generally held to be true in Britain and around which our citizenship is focused.
Ofsted defines British Values as belief in democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith. Whatever culture, faith or background our students and staff may come from, we join together to engage and share in British Values.
These themes are explored and discussed as part of our Personal Development Curriculum programme here at the Academy. Students are given opportunities to explore and debate these concepts in tutor time and this is complimented by assemblies taken by a range of speakers which often include and address topical issues from national and international events. These values and the core themes of the Personal Development Curriculum Programme are further embedded in our curriculum and are an integral element of our Academy leadership.
Grace Academy Solihull is committed to preparing our students to become thoughtful and engaged citizens of our own community and that of the wider world. This can be seen most clearly in the Academy vision and values. By learning from and demonstrating these values we can best prepare ourselves to respond to all forms of radical thought with a rational and balanced world view that enables us to stay true to the fundamental British Values of tolerance and inclusion within the rule of democratic law.
