Course Introduction

A chance to re-sit your English GCSE and gain this vital qualification.

Award Body



Building on progress made in KS4, you will resubmit all controlled assessments. Working in a smaller class with greater personalisation you will be able to improve your folder and work on personalised exam targets to ensure that you are successful second time around. The course will focus on the basics of English: literacy and reading skills and ensure that you have the skills employers and universities want.

Course Suitable For

Students who did not achieve their GCSE Grade C English.

Entry Requirements

Less than a GCSE Grade C English.

Why Study?

While this course is compulsory for anyone who did not gain a grade C in their GCSE studies, there are several good reasons to commit yourself to the course. English is one of the key qualifications all employers want.
