Work experience is just around the corner for our Year 12s, and they’ve been getting ready with a preparatory workshop from local business partners.

The 2 hour workshop featured group discussion, writing tasks, and motivating input from visiting professionals who encouraged students to seize every opportunity with both hands, be friendly and professional, and believe they have what it takes to succeed. The session enabled students to discover more about: general industry expectations; attitudes and behaviours required to thrive in the workplace; how they can make a positive impression with potential employers and the importance of self-belief.

To end the workshop, students were read the powerful and inspiring quote from Walter D. Wintle, “You Can if You Think You Can”.
