Top marks in GCSE as 90% of students make the grade as Grace Academy Solihull builds on its continued success with outstanding GCSE results

Students at Grace Academy Solihull celebrated outstanding GCSE results building on the success that the Academy has had over the last four academic years.

Student performance in Maths and English was excellent with 74% of students achieving Grades 4 to 9 in both subjects which is an increase of 16% in comparison to 2017 and is well above the national average.

The Academy which is now rated as “Good” by Ofsted continues to be one of the highest performing and most improved schools in the region, performing well in key subjects such as English where 90% students achieved a grade 4 and 33% of students achieved a grade 7 (A) or above, in Maths where students results improved by half a grade on average from the last academic year and History where 83% of students achieved a grade 4-9 which has doubled since 2017.

Commenting on the Academy’s outstanding results, Principal Darren Gelder said:

“I am incredibly proud of the achievements and outcomes that all our students have made, there are some outstanding individual performances, which reflect the hard work of staff, students’ parents and carers. Regardless of the context of our setting these results put us in the same league as some of the best schools in the country.”
