A Magical Harry Potter Night

A Magical Harry Potter Night

Avid readers got together for a magical night of crafts, potion-stirring, and fantastic beast hunting to celebrate the enchanted world of Harry Potter.

Students sang the Hogwarts school song as they were sorted into their houses using the Hogwarts hat.   Among the other activities on offer were making bookmark broomsticks and quick-build houses, all washed down with a healthy dose of food and drinks.

Librarian Ashley Connolly said:

“Harry Potter books have been around for a long time, but it’s great to encourage another generation to embrace the stories and enjoy them too. We had great fun making the quick-build castles out of cardboard, toilet rolls and tape, as well as mixing some very yucky ingredients for the potions.”

Food and drinks were generously supplied by ASDA and there were prizes for some of the activities, while the props used for our Platform Nine and Three Quarters display were kindly loaned to us by Highbury Little Theatre in Sutton Coldfield.
