Ackers Adventure Team Building Trip

Team building at Ackers

Year 12 and 13 students have completed a team-building challenge at Ackers to help them work together more effectively.

The adventurous group tackled a range of activities to test their abilities to communicate, work as a team and solve problems quickly and successfully under pressure.

Head of Post 16 Kelly Williams said: “It was fantastic to see both year groups working together to overcome problem-solving activities.  It has helped to strengthen the bonds of relationships between the two year groups of Post-16 students who are helping to guide each other through what are two very demanding years of education. I would like to say a big well done to all the students who took part.  You were a credit to yourselves and Grace Academy.”

Commenting about Ackers, student Demi Lucas said: “It brings everyone closer together and makes everyone work as a team in fun ways.”

Student Chloe Bennett said that team-building is important because it is dominant in the world of work and, speaking about the course, added: “It allows students to bond and get on with one another.  It also allows people to have a laugh and enjoy their time.”
