Solihull Students Return from All Expenses Paid London Weekend Away

Twenty-one students from Grace Academies in Darlaston, Solihull and Coventry have just returned from a high quality, all expenses paid trip to London, after winning the coveted IM Personal Achievement Award.

The weekend away, donated by the IM Group worth over £9000, was awarded to Grace Academy students who made significant personal progress during the academic year, after overcoming a variety of challenges.

The students stayed in a four star hotel and enjoyed a whirlwind tour of major landmarks including the London Dungeons, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, Downing Street, and a trip down the Thames.

Shaleah Humpherston, one of the students who enjoyed the weekend from Grace Academy Solihull, said:

“The trip was a fantastic experience and an action packed weekend, I would definitely go again. Wicked, the musical, was wicked, great food and views on the London Eye and the Thames boat ride.”

Jeremy Douglas-Jones, Business Facilitator, Grace Academy, added:

“We had an outstanding weekend with the students and I was delighted to see them in awe of the sights and sounds of the capital city, taking in a West End show and pushing their own boundaries by travelling on the Tube and the London Eye. This was a fitting reward for the progress they have made during the year.”
